Please describe the problem:
Keyboard shortcuts like <Alt>+F is not invoking the file menu

Steps to reproduce:
1. Invoke gedit.
2. Press Alt+F/E..


Actual results:

The menus do not get invoked (say,Alt+F should invoke File menu)

Expected results:
It should invoke the file menu.

Does this happen every time?


Other information:
It is not reproducible in head build on FC3. But it is reproducible in opensolaris.

as you note yourself it works just fine here on linux.

If this is a bug on our side we'll need help from solaris people. Though it look more likely that's a bug either in the solaris build or in the gtk package or something like that.

It looks a lot like the problem I was having with my keyboard shortcuts not working because Emacs key theme support was recently fixed to be more complete. (bug #150059 and bug #330609)
