Description Michael Neuweiler 2006-01-17 20:18:29 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When watching the exchange mailbox in offline mode the messages cannot be
deleted/moved.

At startup in offline mode I get the error message twice:

Error while Scanning folders in "Exchange server xx.yy.zz".
Could not connect to Evolution Exchange backend process: No such file or directory

When quitting evo in offline mode it quickly pops up a error message which
states the it's not possible to expunge deleted items in offline mode, but then
immediately closes again as the app closes.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I've selected all folders in my exchange account to be available offline,
2. wait until they get synched
3. quit evo
4. IMPORTANT: cut the network connection and start evo client again (the bug
won't appear if you're in offline mode but the connection is still there).
5. try to delete a message

Actual results:
message is not deleted, next message is opened

Expected results:
message is deleted in offline mode and next time the mailbox is synched, the
message should also be deleted on the exchange server (if still existing).

Does this happen every time?
afaik yes. the bug did not occur while the network connection was still ok. when
i kill the vpn connection or remove the network cable, this bug occurs.

ups, sorry.. forgot: it's evo 2.5.4 I'm talking about, compiled with ldap support, no nss/nrp, no smime. Running on OpenSuse 10, kernel 2.6.13-15.7

Reassining to the Connector component
Comment 3 Sushma Rai 2006-01-31 07:42:16 UTC
Network manager support was fixed in 2.5.5.1
Can you please try 2.5.5.1 or 2.5.90 and see if this problem
occurs.
Comment 4 Michael Neuweiler 2006-01-31 23:18:13 UTC
It was still there with 2.5.5.1 and unfortunately also with 2.5.90. Can't delete any mail in offline mode - also the "read" status doesn't change.
