Description sibios 2006-01-16 04:55:36 UTC
Please describe the problem:
A favicon doesn't appear on pages that are loaded over a secure protocol
connection (https) even those which are hard coded into the page.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect to a https page (amazon, gmail, etc...)
2. Note the severe lack of a favicon in the left side of the address bar

Actual results:
There is no favicon during these connections. While other Mozilla based
browsers will load these.

Expected results:
A favicon will load.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

To see favicons on https sites, you need epiphany with a gecko 1.8 backend (i.e. using firefox 1.5 or xulrunner 1.8 or seamonkey 1.0a), because of bug 312291.
