Description Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-01-14 21:49:56 UTC
Image attachments of mails when viewed inline are scaled to fit the width of the mail display if the image is to large, *without* noticing the user about this.

There is no visible hint at all that the image is scaled down. And there is no way to not scale the image within the mail display. At least there need to be some sort of hint about the scaling. Preferably a magnifying glass, just as in current browsers.

Note: If you do copy browser behavior, do it the right way and don't stop half way.

Prabably GtkHTML/Rendering rather than Evolution/Mailer?
Comment 1 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-01-14 22:06:10 UTC
Evolution 2.4.2.1, GtkHTML 3.8.2
Comment 2 Srinivasa Ragavan 2006-01-17 16:59:08 UTC
guenther, It is evolution/mailer.

May be changing the cursor to zoom/actualsize like FF does?
Comment 3 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-01-18 00:19:55 UTC
Changing the cursor likely would do. Well, *if* this acts like in browsers and clicking the image toggles between scaled and original size.

"And there is no way to not scale the image within the mail display."

Sorry i didnt read this comment. You can r-click or press the 'v" button there it provides ur 'Fit to width' or 'Show Actual Size' in the menu, but a visual cue should be present. right.

Cursor stuff as well as toggling on click is committed to HEAD :-).

Thanks guenther, I find this nice :)
