Description Christian Krause 2006-01-08 22:07:52 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Contacts:
If the current view ist set to phone list then print preview (and printing as
well) results in an very ugly page:
The font size is so big, that the entries doesn't fit in the cells.
That's why it is not possible to print a useful phone list.

Steps to reproduce:
1. add some contact entries
2. set current view to "phone list"
3. File->Print Preview

Actual results:
ugly output, text doesn't fit into cells (see attached postscript file)

Expected results:
In the printed phone list a useful font size should be choosen, so that a list
can be printed and all phone numbers are visible.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Confirming. Not sure if this belongs in gnome-print though.
Comment 3 Christian Krause 2007-07-26 21:55:14 UTC
bug still in evolution 2.10.3 :-(

Having a working feature to just print out the phone list of all contacts would be pretty cool... ;-)
Comment 4 Christian Krause 2008-06-15 08:54:09 UTC
problem is still in newest evolution (shipped with F9) - I'll update the version fields...

Le bug d'impression existe toujours depuis maintenant plus de trois ans. C'est un problème majeur qui n'est toujours pas résolu. Dois-je retourner sur Outlook ?????

The bug still exists print for over three years. It is a major problem that remains unresolved. Should I return to Outlook ?????
Comment 8 André Klapper 2021-05-19 12:13:02 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
