GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 326092
doesn't play videos on http
Last modified: 2006-01-09 14:06:23 UTC
With totem 1.3.0/xine, running "totem http://...." (on http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/ice_age_2/ice_age_2-tlrD_h.320.mov by example) returns an "The file you tried to play is an empty file." dialog. Running xine or the same line with totem-gstreamer works fine.
libxine is 1.1.1
It works with an older version of gnome-vfs, doesn't with gnome-vfs HEAD. Do you get this output for gnomevfs-info on the file? $ gnomevfs-info http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/ice_age_2/ice_age_2-tlrD_h.320.mov Name : ice_age_2-tlrD_h.320.mov Type : Regular MIME type : video/quicktime Size : 138 UID : 0 GID : 0 Access time : Mon Jan 9 10:53:21 2006 Modification time : Fri Dec 9 17:55:28 2005
$ gnomevfs-info http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/ice_age_2/ice_age_2-tlrD_h.320.mov Name : ice_age_2-tlrD_h.320.mov Type : Regular $
Reassigning to gnome-vfs.
This is caused by the bug introduced with the neon update to 0.25 (and its API changes). It's the same issue as in #325861. Dupping. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 325861 ***
