Please refer to the two reports I submitted a few minutes ago.

Went into Edit -> Preferences -> Composer Preferences

Created the new signature that I was trying to do on previous crashes
OK.

Selected the signature that was migrated from my old evolution directory
(but whose contents were erased).  Clicked  Remove.  CRASH.

also a duplicate of bug 312022.

this seems to be fixed in evolution 2.4, at least i have not seen a report about signature crashes in 2.4. :-/

anyway, thanks for taking the time to report the crashes.
