enter a new appointment directly in day mode (without appt editor) and make sure that the mouse is NOT over the appointment time slot.

after typing a few chars, move the mouse over the appointment time slot.

suddenly, the appointment gets closed (you cannot type anymore) and you will get a never disappearing tooltip with "(null)" as summary, which seems to be hidden after the "normal" tooltip (you have to move the mouse to see that "(null)" one), even after switching to other apps!
seems like i can do this only once per calendar, this is 100% reproducible.
i had to quit evolution to get rid off them.

suse9.3, gnome2.10, evo2.5.3 rpm snapshot dated 2005-12-19.

andre, fixed to head. I tried few other scenarios also and fixed them.
