GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 325315
Nautilus suddenly change the interface language
Last modified: 2005-12-31 10:38:19 UTC
Please describe the problem: I work with an Ubuntu Breezy distro with an italian interface. I have two languages installed: english and italian, but I have selected italian as predefined language. Normally the nautilus windows have the menu in italian language. But if I display the file properties of an audio or a video file, the interface change to english language. Just an example: For instance in a folder I select the file myvideo.mpg, with right click I select Properties. Now I look at all the properties panels (Basic,Emblems,Permissions,Open With,Notes,Audio/Video). After I close the nautilus window and I reopen a new nautilus window. Now all the window menu are in english and no more in italian. Steps to reproduce: 1. open a nautilus window 2. select an audio (wav,ogg,...) or a video (mpg,avi,...) file 3. right click and select "Properties" or choose File/Properties 4. look at all properties panels (Basic,Emblems,...,Notes,Audio/Video) 5. close the properties and nautilus windows and open another nautilus window --> now all the menu are in english Actual results: The nautilus window menu are all in english and no more in italian Expected results: The nautilus window menu have to remain in italian because this is my predefined language Does this happen every time? yes Other information: To resolve the problem for now I use the system monitor for terminate the nautilus process. When nautilus restart, the window menu are again in italian.
