Description Alfredo Pironti 2005-12-14 18:49:32 UTC
Documentation bug
Section:
The documentation is not present. And it's a bit unconfortable and painful to read
the source code to get a list of recognized string and the program name to be
used in the lirc cfg file.

Correct version:
It should be added a new chapter in the documentation stating:
- program name to be used in lircrc file
- all string supported (maybe with a short description)

Other information:
Other few comments:
- a Documentation component could be added to the project, so this bug report
won't be under the General component.
- the program name to be used under lirc is currently Rhythmbox, for ease of use
it could be changed to rhythmbox, if it does not create other problems.

There's currently a README.lirc file added in 0.9.3. It isn't integrated into the yelp gnome documentation, which needs a major overhaul.

Agree with you on adding a Documentation component. I've opened that up as a request at bug #330234.

That is bug #314001.

As part of the new LIRC plugin I just checked in, I added the list of command strings to the documentation. The program name is case insensitive, so changing it to 'rhythmbox' wouldn't make any difference anyway.
