GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 323638
Error "Not on the same file system"
Last modified: 2005-12-09 17:40:39 UTC
Distribution/Version: Archlinux 0.7.1 It happens when mixing filesystems: / is software raid0 /mnt/raid1 is software raid0 /mnt/raid1/files is a directory inside /mnt/raid1 I remount this directory with --bind to /home/tom/files fstab: /mnt/raid1/files /home/tom/files none rw,bind 0 0 When I try to delete a file with nautiles from /home/tom/files/ (or a subdir) I get the following error: Error "Not on the same file system" Browsing with nautilus to /mnt/raid1/files and deleting the file from there is no problem. So nautilus misses the filesystem switch caused by mount --bind
