According to Bug #321413, the problem is solved in 2.4.
anybody still facing this issue ??
This happens when somehow your view files get corrupt(.evolution/addressbook/views/*). I think removing all the files from the view folder solves the problem. That is why upgrading from 2.2 to 2.4 also solved the problem as it removed the old view files. Closing this for now, if anybody faces the issue again, please reopen. If anybody faces the issue again, do attach the view files here,if you have any.
