GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 323263
planner can't print landscape
Last modified: 2006-01-07 18:01:56 UTC
Version details: 0.13 Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Dapper Forwarded from: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20457 When trying to print in landscape (either to a printer or to a PDF/PS file) planner messes up the orientation. If I try to print to a printer and select landscape, the print preview shows that the content has been made landscape, but the page hasn't (i.e. it prints landscape content onto a portrait page). Selecting 'rotate 90%' with landscape selected produces a correct-looking preview, but it actually prints the same thing I had before - landscape content on a portrait page. When printing to a file I always get landscape content on a portrait page when landscape is selected. Rotate options are ignored completely. I'll attach an example PDF showing the issue. I didn't have this issue with Hoary, it appeared when I upgraded to Breezy. http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/attachment.cgi?id=5154 (PDF created with landscape selected) -- Hoary: planner 0.12.1 - gnomeprint: 2.10.3 Breezy: planner 0.13 - gnomeprint: 2.12.1
A different bug report showing the same symptoms makes me think, that this is rather a gnomeprint issue: From http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20729 Calendar - Month view prints in portrait mode even though landscape mode is selected. In addition, appointment text in each days block is truncated. Print environment is a LaserJet III networked via JetDirect, page US Letter. Landscape mode of this printer works correctly in OpenOffice 2.0 writer. http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/attachment.cgi?id=5226
