Distribution/Version: Ubuntu

Create an image with dimensions 1x1500
Press 'm' (or just select the move tool)
move the layer down for at least 21 pixel (so the original image would disappear
from the preview of this image in the Layers channels paths box)

Crash.

You could at least have tried the latest released version before filing a duplicate.
