Description Karsten Bräckelmann 2005-12-03 15:07:11 UTC
In 2.2 there was a really great dialog to save all attachments, that even
supported selectively saving the attachments the use wants. This one is gone in 2.4.

Regression. This was a great feature.

Apparently what the user got instead is a way to save all attachments only,
without seecting which ones. And this new thingy wastes precious header space...

Why oh why do you guys keep ripping features out? *sigh*
Comment 1 Karsten Bräckelmann 2005-12-03 23:34:56 UTC
OK, so apparently this plugin was moved from enabled/standard to experimental.

IMHO this is the wrong way to do this. This plugin offered a way better UI than
the current crap wasting my precious mail pane space.

Both efforts should be combined, using the best of both parts of em. Ripping out
features (selectively saving attachment part) is not the right way. There never
should have been written a total replacement in the first place.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2005-12-05 14:52:20 UTC
well, confirming.
Comment 3 Srinivasa Ragavan 2005-12-09 03:27:55 UTC
Im not sure, who moved this. but still im not a fan of this dialog, a user who
wants to save attachments, will never find it easy to use. FWIW, i can move this
to standard, but with the input from who modified it. In the new bar, you can
multiselect and save it. (I know guenther you hate the new bar, but still ;-) )
Comment 4 André Klapper 2006-05-30 02:05:30 UTC
imho, the dialog was very techie and we now have the "save all" button. removing ancient target milestone. guenther, feel free to contradict. ;-)

Andre: Won't oppose, fine with me. :)
Comment 6 André Klapper 2006-07-26 08:13:50 UTC
guenther: i vote for closing this one here.
