hi,
thanks for reporting.

what do you mean by "does not function"? the field remains empty?
when i copy a contact, it copies the entire contact as vcard and pastes that
into the address field instead of just the email address. copying only the email
address works perfectly.

how exactly do you copy (right-click context menu, main menu entry, marking the
text and use the middle mouse button, keyboard combination) and how do you paste?

can you paste it somewhere else, e.g. into a composer window body or into a text
editor?

which evolution version is this exactly?

setting to NEEDINFO, please REOPEN when answering. thanks in advance.

Ok, i can reopen the bug. You have to right-click copy an address from an e-mail
header. What's puzzling is that if you paste in another program the address
BEFORE opening filters windows, it works, but doesn't work in any program after
you opened the filters windows. Like the memory gets empty. I was also wondering
why there isn't a simple way to copy an email address from an addressbook,
without opening the contact and manually selecting the field
Comment 3 Gianmarco Leone 2005-11-30 08:43:12 UTC
Version 2.4.1
Comment 4 André Klapper 2005-12-02 13:44:35 UTC
gianmarco, thanks. i can reproduce this running experimental evolution-2.5.2 on
suse9.3. confirming.

targetting to 2.5, fixes should also go into 2.4.x.

go, harish! ;-)
