Description Javier Aravena 2005-11-28 02:55:11 UTC
and it should, just close the window after resizing the size of the sidebar and
open totem again. the sidebar will be using half window even though it seems to
remember its size, because when you open it the playlist is the size it should
be (the same size it had the previous run). It happens both with and without
auto-resizing.
sorry about my bad spelling and grammar, I'm not a native english speaker (or
writer in this case) and I need to sleep (or maybe some cofee)
Comment 1 Javier Aravena 2005-11-28 17:07:49 UTC
look, eehhrrmm... I read this again and now that I'm awake the second line
doesn't make much sense. What I wanted to say is that when you open totem the
sidebar seems to be the same size it was in the last run, but then, like less
than a second after that, it takes half window.

Can you see this in the current Totem from the gnome-2-12 branch, or Totem 1.3.0?
Comment 3 Javier Aravena 2005-12-19 00:32:33 UTC
it happens in the gnome 2.12 branch (totem 1.2 iirc). I haven't tested 1.3.0
Comment 4 Javier Aravena 2005-12-20 02:26:04 UTC
I guess this has been marked as need info to check if it happens in the latest version, however here are some screenshots to ilustrate my point (no, I'm not using clearlooks-cairo so it's not likely to be some trouble with the theme engine)
1.I'm watching a video in totem, look at the size of the sidebar (how do i change the output btw?)

2.I reopened the window, I wasn't quick enough, but before this the window was the same size it was the last time, and then it was like this (same sidebar size, window of the size of the totem image thing)

3.In less than a second the sidebar took half window

Comment 5 Andrew Conkling 2006-02-07 21:02:49 UTC
Also, this causes Totem to 'forget' its width on subsequent runs. It seems that the video size is being calculated at first, then is shrunken a bit when the playlist loads. When exited, it seems that this shrunken video size is saved, so next time you open it, when the playlist takes a bit more of the window, the video keeps getting smaller.

Sorry if this should be a separate bug, but it seems to be the other side of the same coin.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2006-07-12 18:36:56 UTC
reopening as requested information has been provided.
Comment 7 Bastien Nocera 2006-07-14 19:46:46 UTC
I believe this is now fixed in Totem 1.5.3 and 1.4.2.
Please feel free to re-open if it isn't.
