It is recommended limiting the scope of this report to just postscript, instead of both ps/dvi, it order to make it more approachable and manageable, and have the dvi portion split off into it's own report.

Regarding the postscript scope, downstream report:

1) lsb_release -rd

2) apt-cache policy evince
evince:
  Installed: 3.14.1-0ubuntu1

  Version table:
 *** 3.14.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What is expected to happen is when one opens the attached file via evince, one may search via Ctrl+F:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/159300/+attachment/4278783/+files/diplom.ps

4) What happens instead is it is greyed out.

WORKAROUND: Convert the ps into pdf with ps2pdf, and then open the PDF with evince.
