GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 321391
Can't play certain mp3
Last modified: 2005-11-30 11:34:09 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I want to use rhythmbox and muine to play a certain mp3 the program crashes. With muine I get an error message that tells me: There were no decoders found to handle the stream, you might need to install the corresponding plugins. With rhythmbox its gui freezes and get the following in the terminal from which I ran it: "(rhythmbox:14903): GStreamer-WARNING **: pushing data on non-negotiated pad mad0:src, not allowed." I have the exact same problem with one other mp3. All my other mp3's play just fine without any problems. Steps to reproduce: 1. Try to play the file http://titeuf.ph34rus.org/a.mp3 with muine and rhythmbox 2. 3. Actual results: rhythmbox: the gui freezes muine: it shows an error dialog and I can't play any songs anymore untill I restart muine. Expected results: That it plays the mp3 Does this happen every time? yes Other information: This has been tested in Ubuntu breezy and gentoo, both with gnome 2.12 There are threads http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=2868973 on the gentoo forums and http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=476284 on the ubuntu forums.
