This bug has been opened here: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=18856 "Evince by default opens eps files, but it does not show them. The same files open in gv (ggv). ... I confirm it on an other Ubunutu Breezy OS http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=18711 ... I write you because I use 'convert' (ImageMagick) to convert png to eps files in order to include them in my LaTeX documents. Unfortunately Nautilus doesn't provide any preview of the eps file (I can see the png but not the eps). Moreover when I click on the eps file by default it's open by evince... which don't show me the file ;-( I can see it with gimp, gv, ggv ... http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/attachment.cgi?id=4868 eps file to test preview in nautilus
It would be nice to have and pretty easy to do. We just need one more mime type in ev-document-types.c. This won't provide us thumbnailer, but will move to a solution a bit. Second part is to fix bug 164755.
Ups, sorry, now the first part is completed. Evince do open eps files and renders them. The only thing is thumbnails problem, which is purely bug 164755. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 164755 ***
