Description Lucas Rocha 2005-11-07 17:09:06 UTC
An image viewer should not have a "Save As" feature. Like evince, the user
should only be able to save a copy of the currently open document. This would
make EOG simpler and more intuitive. This involves removing the "Save As" dialog
for multiple files too. It's useless.

Discarding this for now.
Comment 2 Jakub Steiner 2015-06-17 09:08:48 UTC
I think this is perfectly valid need for a helper app like EOG. Consider the use case of opening an SVG attachment from Geary. The only way to save such document is with 'save as' right now, that doesn't actually consider the SVG format to be valid and suggests to use jpeg or png.
Comment 3 Felix Riemann 2015-06-22 18:35:58 UTC
I think it ironically works if you select multiple images for saving as the save multiple dialog allows to preserve the format.

Maybe something similar is possible for the single image save dialog.
