Description Pippin 2005-11-04 01:12:06 UTC
When I try to open certain images in the GIMP from my Pentax Optio S30 digital
camera, an error is displayed. The console gives the message

/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/jpeg: fatal error: Segmentation fault

I've never had this problem before with my previous (Gentoo) installation,
which might suggest it could be, say, libjpeg. But no other programs (Firefox,
krita, ...) have any problem with these images.

Note: I use Linux From Scratch (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org), with the
stable 6.1 instructions

No bugs turned up when I searched for jpeg, but I guess search is
case-sensitive.
Comment 5 Pippin 2005-11-05 01:13:21 UTC
And the CVS version of libexif cured the problem.
