Description Evandro Giovanini 2005-11-01 16:33:29 UTC
Rhythmbox 0.9.1 added a notification bubble that displays the name of the artist
and song each time a new song starts playing.

I find that bubble very annoying. I'm always listening to
something on Rhythmbox when I'm on the computer, and after I make a
playlist and minimize it to the tray area it's completely invisible to
me. That's how software should work IMO, get the job done and get out of
my way.

The problem with the bubble is that every 5 minutes or so my attention
is stolen from what I'm doing to the tray area, to read the bubble. And
the information is always useless, as it's always obvious what Rhythmbox
is playing (and if it's not you should get better music :).

Would it possible to reconsider having a notification bubble?
