Description Dirk Joosen 2005-11-01 15:39:14 UTC
Distribution/Version: XP Home edition

Hi
I've the following soft and hardware
Windows Micrsoft XP Home Edition service pack 2.
Pentium 4 cpu 2.8 GHz and 1 Gig of memory.

After installing gtk 2.6.9 and gimp 2.2.9 Gimp doesn't start and the following
errormessage I get:
AppName: gimp-2.0.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: icm32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00004268

I've also tried to install a earlier version which leads to same error.

I hope that someone has a idea how i can solve this problem.

Regards Dirk

This is a "DLL Hell" problem. Bug 304326 explains how to solve it.
