GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 320155
EOG makes corrupted JPEG files from transparent PNG
Last modified: 2005-10-29 23:20:30 UTC
Please describe the problem: Bugreport from our internal bug database. I will attach the images as well Steps to reproduce: 1) Obtain a PNG file, which contains some transparent color (e.g. make a screenshot of the window with Sun Blueprint theme chosen - the corners of the windows are rounded in this theme, so when the screenshot of the window is done, space around these corners is transparent). 2) Open the image with the EOG. 3) Save the opened image as JPEG. 4) Open the JPEG image in the EOG or any other image viewer Actual results: Result: the image is corrupted - it is cropped, has different color and contains white vertical lines. PNGs without transparency are saved correctly in the JPEG format. Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 54035 [details] PNG image
Created attachment 54036 [details] Converted JPEG file
