GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 319684
Connector crashed
Last modified: 2005-12-21 14:59:59 UTC
Distribution: Unknown Package: Connector Severity: critical Version: GNOME2.12.0 2.4.x Gnome-Distributor: SUSE Synopsis: Connector crashed Bugzilla-Product: Connector Bugzilla-Component: Connector Bugzilla-Version: 2.4.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.12.0) Description: Description of the crash: Continuing problems with crash reported previously. Should have debuginfo in this one (hopefully). This time, messages downloaded in background, and crash occurred when I started a new message. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Start evolution 2. Let it connect to imap server and exchange server 3. Let it start downloading messages in background from exchange 4. Expand exchange folder tree 5. Click New Message icon 6. crash Expected Results: No crash How often does this happen? Crash occurs daily - once it happens, it repeats multiple times. usually have to close evolution, erase .evolution directory, and start evolution again to clear the problem. Additional Information: Was told to try a version of ximian connector (1.4.1???) but I can't find an RPM for SuSE 10 or the source code. Pointers to either, and I'll try it. Tried 1.4.7 and 2.2 from older Suse distros, but too many rpm conflicts prevented it from installing. Source would probably be easiest way for me to try the older connector version. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/opt/gnome/libexec/evolution-exchange-storage' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". There is a latest evolution-data-server-1.4.1.1 released with a fix for a repeated crash. Can you please check if this solves your problem. Please reopen the bug with latest traces if you still see this.
