Description Björn Lindqvist 2005-10-18 14:59:00 UTC
From Firefox and Internet Explorer I've become accustomed to using Backspace for
going back in the history. I can't for my life figure out WHY Epiphany doesn't
alos have that keybinding. Please correct this oversight. :)

Thanks for your bug report! However this issue was already filed in the database
previously.

The reason that Epiphany doesn't use Backspace to go back, is that Backspace has
a different meaning in html forms. In cases where you want to delete the
previous character in a form, but the user doesn't notice the form isn't
focused, you could go one page back and thereby lose information or risk
submitting the same information twice. Especially for financial transactions
etc. you don't want this.
