Distribution: Ubuntu 5.10 (breezy) Package: nautilus Severity: Normal Version: GNOME2.12.1 2.12.1 Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: Datei-Browser stürzt ab oder friert ein, wenn größere Verzeichnisse von einem NFS-Server kopiert werden Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 2.12.1 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.12.0) Description: Description of the crash: File browser crashes, while copying directories from a NFS server. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. I reduced the number of files. But maybe size of files is also a problem. Not much experience yet. 2. 3. Expected Results: How often does this happen? Allmost every time when I copy more than 2000 files, but it can happen when copying only a directory with a dozen files of some hundred KB each, too. Additional Information: Ubuntu 5.10 Server System: Debian 2.1 WLAN Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for your bug report! Maybe you could install debugging packages of nautilus, and gnome-vfs? Instructions are available under [1]. Also, trying to do the same transfer using gnomevfs-copy and checking whether it crashes would really help us to track the issue down. [1] http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces
