Description Jose M. daLuz 2005-10-08 04:21:54 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When pasting text into deskbar-applet, the icon immediately changes to that of
the alphabetically first smart bookmark (A9 in my case) and there is no list of
engines to select from, nor does hitting up/down arrow bring up the list. This
happens with both CVS and 0.5.0. The same result happens whether it's a
middle-button paste, right-clicking and selecting "Paste" from the context menu
or Ctrl-V. Hitting enter searches the first engine in the smart bookmarks.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Paste text into applet.
2.
3.

Actual results:
No list of searches comes up. Hitting enter searches using the first engine
alphabetically.

Expected results:
Normal list of search options should pop up.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

I find this annoying too. We're waiting on bug 165714 "GtkEntryCompletion
doesn't complete on paste".
