Description Daniel Holbach 2005-10-04 16:20:09 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Breezy

Forwarded from: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16739

I don't know enough about the underlying architecture to know what better
package to put this into -- but I'm sure someone reading this will.

On several applications: Syanptic, gedit, gnome archive manager on the current
breezy the following occurs:

Problematic behavior:
1) Use toolbar icon to open a dialog window

2) Cause dialog window to close (either automatically in case of synaptic or
using keyboard shortcuts with the others)

3) Try clicking on the toolbar icon again -- it wont' work until you move the
mouse out of the button boundary and back again.

Expected Behavior:
After the dialog box closes, it should be possible to just click on the button
again without having to move the mouse away and back again.

I've observed this behavior for almost a year now and I finally got to annoyed by it that I decided to find or file a bug for it. This behavior is not at all what I'd expect and it hinders repetitive mouse operations for me frequently. I would say that this bug affects usability in a very bad way and I'd love to see it fixed.

Daniel, is that a duplicate of bug #56070 ?
