Description Malte 2005-10-02 08:07:02 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The shortcuts ("Home directory", "Desktop" etc.) on the left side of a
GtkFileChooser dialog have to be double-clicked to be activated. However, when
single-clicking one of them, they are already highlighted, which makes you think
that they are actually selected.

This behavior irritates the user.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch a recent typical document-based Gnome application, such as eog, and
select File->Open.
2. On the left, single-click e.g. on the word "Desktop".

Actual results:
The word "Desktop" is fully highlighted. You think you've selected it.

Expected results:
The single click should in my opinion really load the directory into the file
list on the right.

Does this happen every time?
'course.
