GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 317539
nautilus crashes on specific swf file
Last modified: 2006-03-09 19:43:17 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 4 (Stentz) Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.10.0 2.10.0 Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: nautilus crash on specific file Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 2.10.0 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.10.0) Description: Description of the crash: On two separate systems (but with similar software setup) nautilus crashes when this (shockwave) file is encountered. It is always reproducible with the steps described below, however, testing this on another system also triggered a (nautilus) crash while just saving the file to disc. (fedora core 4, 2.6 kernel, gnome 2.10) Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. retrieve the file from http://www.opgezwolle.nl/layout/(c)opgezwolle.swf 2. open a nautilus browser window and browse to the folder that contains the file 3. wait a minute, move your mouse over the window (crash) Expected Results: Not crash :) How often does this happen? Every time Additional Information: Listen to those great loops by playing the swf :) Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". CCing David since he is the swfdec author.
looks like a unique stack trace. Marking NEW.
As far as I can tell this isn't a bug in GStreamer, but a bug in the swf gdkpixbuf loader (part of swf-player I believe) or libswfdec. No idea where to file bugs for those, sorry. File isn't available any more, so I can't test it with a current version of libswdec either.
