Steps to reproduce:
1. download
http://www.cast.cse.ohio-state.edu/exscal/content/Publications/LOF-TR.pdf
2. go to page 6
3. wait several minutes (see bug #317532)
4. select some text and formulas, evince will get an X error


Stack trace:
even with --sync and running in gdb, breaking at gdk_x_error, I didn't get a
useful stack trace.

I have also experienced crashes while selecting text in a variety of documents,
but I did not need to wait. Documents made with pdflatex seem to be the most
problematic.
