Description k_b0000 2005-09-25 14:48:55 UTC
i just tested gimp 2.3.3 on fedora core 4. i compiled from sources.
whenever i open a dialog box, say levels, curves etc. the box is open under the
image. this seems bad. the dialog box should open above the image. just like in
gimp 2.2.

What window manager are you using, please?
Comment 2 k_b0000 2005-09-25 16:07:49 UTC
i think gdm, possibly kdm. i run gimp 2.3.3 under kde 3.4.2.
how can i find out?

i just discovered thta not all dialogs are opened behind the image, for example
sharpen and unsharpen are opened correctly.
Comment 3 weskaggs 2005-09-25 16:40:57 UTC
Thank you. (Sharpn and Unsharp Mask are plug-ins, which are actually executed
as separate programs.)

Your window manager is broken. Still, Sven has comitted a fix
that makes it better. See bug #316521.
