Description André Klapper 2005-09-20 18:07:27 UTC
there some pretty interesting gnome desktop (=global) shortcuts at
http://www.redhat.com/magazine/011sep05/features/shortcuts/#evo available, e.g.
using F6 to switch focus between folder list, message list and message pane. we
should add important shortcuts to the quick reference card as well, i'm going to
care about that for evolution 2.6.
Comment 1 André Klapper 2005-09-27 20:23:04 UTC
and with releasing it, it's immediately buggy. :-)

control+i isn't import anymore, but load images from net in 2.4.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2006-02-05 23:33:15 UTC
we must update it, also the text file on the project page. lots of shortcut changes according to the review.

Comment 4 André Klapper 2006-02-22 15:31:23 UTC
...if anybody has more knowledge of tex than me (should not be too hard), i do get errors when latex'ing the file to get a dvi file.

anyway, the pdf works, and that's the result for the users.

Rejected. ;)

* Global
  Move/Copy selection are *not* global.

* Contacts
  Wrong accelerator for Save vCard. It is Ctrl+S.

* Mail Component
  Reply to Sender, Reply to List, Reply All should be reordered.

first one: only contacts and mail, yes. changed that.
second one: right. changed this to "save selection" under general, seems more useful.
third one: yes. done.

AIY, CAPTAIN! ;-)

also changed "schedule manipulation" to "general commands" ot be consistent with the other components. besides, the original meaning of the word "manipulation" is still well-known to programmers, but in the real world it changes more and more to something negative.

Looks fine andre. But nothing about memos is there.
Comment 11 André Klapper 2006-02-24 10:19:01 UTC
srag: if you know of any important shortcut for memos, i would add it to the quickref. but i bet you don't. ;-)
so i'll go ahead and commit later today.
Comment 12 André Klapper 2006-02-24 10:22:35 UTC
ahh, got it! thanks.

so adding a shortcut for "new memo" later today.

i really dislike the idea to specify a "memo component" just to list one shortcut for "new memo" there. semantically it would be better to have it added to "calendar/task component", but "calendar/task/memo component" would become pretty unreadable, and we get problems with space - let's do not forget that people perhaps print this out, and i would be concerned that the margin is not wide enough anymore.
so i added that one command to the calendar section and changed the heading appropriately.

now say "yeah" everybody. ;-)
