Last modified: 2005-12-27 22:46:44 UTC
Please describe the problem: Fonts in this pdf-document are messed up: http://www.clasohlson.fi/finland/pdf/clasohlson_68-61.pdf Steps to reproduce: 1. Download the pdf and open in evince Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
Created attachment 52360 [details] Screenshot showing the problem So this is what I get when opening that pdf.
The fonts show up fine for me, but I received a stack trace from evince when trying to select the text under the pen. New bug is filed here: bug 317624
It show fine for me too. I think this is a poppler bug, could you please supply the poppler version and type? I have "poppler 0.4.2 (spash)". You can find it in the Help->About menu in Evince.
I get the same kind of garbage trying to open the pdf above in Evince 0.4.0 using poppler 0.4.2 (cairo) (latest versions in Debian testing). The one in bug 316822 is similar. I've encountered a couple of other pdfs with the same kind of problem: http://transliteration.eki.ee/pdf/Arabic.pdf http://pluto.jhuapl.edu/images/mainPage/NHLaunchPressKit12_05.pdf
I had the same problem with this on my FC4 system, poppler 0.4.1. I updated to poppler 0.4.3, and the problem no longer appeared.
Thanks a lot for testing. Let everyone feel free to reopen if problem still appears, but I am closing now.
