GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 315406
Evolution icon hard to see on LCD screens
Last modified: 2006-01-13 19:17:02 UTC
The evolution icon in gnome is very hard to see clearly on an LCD screen (laptop). On my ubuntu breezy system this icon is located at: /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/evolution.svg Would suggest that maybe the edges be made darker / bolder, or darken the colors used. Right now the icon tends to blend in with the gray background of the panel (using default ClearLooks theme). The clock on the icon stands out well, maybe use those colors on the envelope and use an alternate coloring for the clock. I have no art skills or I would have fixed it myself :) Other information:
the icons also comes in 16x16 and 24x24 versions. My ubuntu hoary panel uses 24x24 icons. Can you try updating your gnome-icon-theme and make a screenshot of your theme/panel? http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/*checkout*/gnome-icon-theme/24x24/apps/evolution.png is what you should be getting.
I think this is about a scalable version renderd at small size. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 315841 ***
