Description Adam Pribyl 2005-09-01 20:23:09 UTC
Every time I start gimp I have to set again all tools to what I usually use. So
I request that gimp saves state of all tools at exit and loads at start.
There should be reset to defaults somewhere too, but not necessarily.

Um, actually all these features exist. Which tool options are not
restored for you?
Comment 2 Adam Pribyl 2005-09-02 08:32:24 UTC
I was maybe too general. But this applies for sure to Brushes (lot of tools),
Gradients, Pattern fills.
Steps:
Select "Paint hard edged pixels"
Choose brush track "Circle (01) (1 x 1)"
Close gimp
Start gimp
Select "Paint hard edge"
There is again "Circle (11) (11 x 11)"

I see now that it is maybe not that easy because all tools are sharing the
setting of these tools. So remembering state for each tool would be too hard. So
at least to remember brush, gradient and pattern generaly.

Thanks for the additional info. This a known issue that will
be fixed in 2.4.
