Description Kristoffer Lundén 2005-08-31 17:41:09 UTC
The ability to open several documents in the same instance of Evince and easily
switch between them, preferably via tabs. Just as, and consistent with,
Epiphany, Gedit, Firefox and more.

I'd also like for new opened documents from say Nautilus to open in the same
instance I already have opened (although it's ok if this is a setting and not
the default).

Acrobat opens all documents in the same instance, and then you can switch
between them via the Windows menu. While I like that very much, I think that is
only halfway there, and that visual tabs would be even better.

This is for ease-of-use, doing things in a similar way to other common
applications and to help keeping the taskbar sane. =)

Hi, this is really interesting idea but also very serious question. And a bit
question of taste. We've already discussed it and came to decision to use
single-window interface, so let me mark this as duplicate and lets dicuss that
problem in the bug 306060.

Sorry, missed that bug because it was resolved. Clumpsy searching. I am taking
my arguing there. =)
