ok, and the description:

if I use the logout-button, screensaver resumes. After that I unlock it and
gnome-session-save is run. It should not need unlocking first, obviously.

gnome-session-save does also complain that "gnome-screensaver does not support
'save current setup' and needs to be restarted manually next time you log in"

We didn't get the patch for gnome-session in so it doesn't really work.
