Description oldsalt19 2005-08-30 20:04:42 UTC
As far as I can tell, Colorspace management is non-existent or at least not
well documented in Gimp. Photo agencies, magazine printers, and other
professionals are beginning to require images to be in the Adobe RGB
colorspace or some other colorspace larger than sRGB. I have seen several
assertations on the web that "the Gimp can do anything that Photoshop can
do." Not so. Unless better color management is introduced in future
versions, Gimp will always be restricted to amateurs.
