Distribution/Version: Gentoo (2005.1)/kernel 2.6.12

Using Gentoo Linux on AMD 64, emerge gcompris (version 6.5.3).
try to start the application and I get

Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

I use a kernel 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 and kde 3.4.1 (note that gnome 2.10.1 is installed)

Please try to remove the python plugin in:
/usr/lib/gcompris/libpython.*
(Check the it's location).

You maybe able to run gcompris without them.

If this doesn't work, run gcompris -D in a console and post here the log.
