Description Martin West 2005-08-26 07:43:21 UTC
Please describe the problem:
It is apparently not possible to create a folder from the context menu when
viewing files in list view. This is possible in icon view.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open nautilus in list view mode.
2. right click on the list area

Actual results:
no create folder option

Expected results:
a create folder option ought to be available

Does this happen every time?
yes

My background context menu contains such an item.
Comment 2 Martin West 2005-08-30 12:24:12 UTC
It seems that my problem is that there is no background area to right-click on,
so there is always an item highlighted. I attach a screenshot.

Comment 4 Christian Neumair 2005-08-30 13:06:54 UTC
Ah, now I see...two issues:

a) no way to bring up background context menu (covered by bug 94618)
b) no way to create a subfolder for a given highlighted folder through its
context menu

If you want to create a folder at the displayed location, you should use
file->new folder for now.
