1. Add an emblem to, for example, your Download folder in Home (I'm just
assuming you have one :-)
2. Middle-click and drag it to the Desktop, choose "Create link here"

Actual results:
The new symlink does not inherit the emblem of the target folder.

Expected results:
Inherit and hopefully update when the target changes.
