Description Daniel Brodie 2005-08-16 09:03:52 UTC
I tried finding if there is a duplicate for this but I havn't found one.

This is an idea I saw someone propose for inplementation:
http://liihs.irit.fr/dragice/foldndrop/

It is basicly a way for a user in DnD to leaf through the windows while doing a
drag. This should be possible with the new composite manager. I do not propose
the complicated mouse gestures but I think this is possible with less
complicated mouse movements.

Not possible unless we start getting mouse entry/exit events during drag and
drop. Of course, we want to get those in order to focus/raise such windows
anyway (bug 112308) so I guess this should be possible after that bug is fixed
and we have a compositing manager...

[ moving to the new compositor component since this is a "When we have a compositor..." bug ]
Comment 3 iain 2008-05-24 11:17:31 UTC
I'm not sure this is really something within metacity's remit of "simple compositor"
