Last modified: 2006-07-20 10:47:47 UTC
Please describe the problem: On ftp I see correct russian filenames. After copying that files to PC, I see their names in bad encoding. Steps to reproduce: 1. Put files with russian names on FTP (win encoding) 2. Copy them to other PC 3. See the result files Actual results: You will see filenames in wrong encoding Expected results: Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: No
Hi, I can confirm this problem. gftp in all distributions I have can't convert encoding of the file names (windows-1250) to gtk encoding (UTF-8): Error converting string 'CWD ' from character set <unknown> to character set UTF-8: Invalid byte sequence in conversion input And binary gftp-gtk isn't linked against iconv. Is it OK? Cheers, František
