GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 313406
gnome-2.10.2, epiphany:1.6.[45]: menu picks fail to work more than once
Last modified: 2005-08-13 18:36:07 UTC
Version details: 1.6.4 & 1.6.5 Distribution/Version: YDL-4.0.1 [FC2 clone for PPC] examples: (1) start up epiphany * File -> Print Setup ==> dialog appears * close dialog * File -> Print Setup ==> *no* dialog appears (2) start up epiphany * select Bookmarks, slide mouse down menu to a folder named "Linux". expect to see submenu. instead Bookmarks menu closes. * select Bookmarks, slide mouse down menu to a folder named "Linux". See submenu. can't select anything. Other menu picks are dead. Keyboard shortcuts still work. (3) start up epiphany * select Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks dialog appears. close dialog * select Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks dialog appears. close dialog * select Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks No dialog appears. menus are dead. keyboard shortcuts still work [ctrl+B brings up dialog] I was hoping that the fix to gtk+ for bug #310270 would solve the problem. I retrofitted the patch for gtkfiledefaultchooser.c to gtk+-2.6.9. Didn't help
The problem it gtk+ 2.6.9 itself. Downgrade to 2.6.8. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 312710 ***
Christian, Thanks for the quick response. I will pass this on to the GARNOME list. -Joseph
