Description João Sousa 2005-08-09 15:06:45 UTC
Version details: GTK+ 2.6.8

I'm having real trouble in editing and opening .ico files

When I open an .ico the different sized icons appear one over another. Although
I can move them sometimes they leave pixels behind. Other times when I open the
.ico it doesn't look like the original (image is only a fragment)

I also have problems when I convert .png to .ico. The .ico files loose a lot of
quality when compared to the .png and sometimes don't even look like it at all!
It forced me to use the free Stardock's Icon developer 1.1 and the Easy Icon
maker 4.0 (free) the edit the image

I really love freeware and open source and the GIMP is really good so I hope
this problem is fixed in a near future

Your bug report doesn't provide enough information to reproduce the problem.
That makes it pretty much useless. Also, this is most likely just a duplicate of
bug #172503.

I am closing this report as a duplicate of bug #172503. If you think there's a
problem saving .ico files, then please file a seperate report on that and
provide a detailed description on how to reproduce the problem.
