Description Behnam Esfahbod 2005-08-08 05:37:00 UTC
Evince doesn't write any application name on title of window. Better to
"Evince" or something general in the title.

Let's discuss window title in one bug

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 312847 ***
Comment 2 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2005-08-16 11:11:12 UTC
Reopening since they are very different issues, I prefer to discuss this one
separately.

I cant think of any good reason to show application name in the title,
especially for evince being a very document oriented application. I dont even
see a reason to make user perceive evince like a unique application in first
place, it's just an implementation detail to me... Also Evince is a code name
and "Document viewer" is way too generic/abstract.
Comment 3 Bryan W Clark 2005-08-16 14:34:32 UTC
Yeah, I don't think this will be too helpful. Evince is document oriented and
one of it's goals is to not even be noticed as a real application.
