Description Vincent Noel 2005-08-02 17:56:16 UTC
The "no smoothing" option in the font capplet was nice when freetype was
experimental, but now I don't see any reason to keep that option. Even when
considering speed issues, the desktop is so ugly when the smoothing is turned
off that I can't imagine anyone using Gnome without smoothing...

I'm not sure about that. Could you mail the desktop list of usability on the topic?
Comment 2 Jens Granseuer 2007-12-12 13:55:09 UTC
Making this a duplicate of the generic "improve font settings dialog" bug...
